Faro literally translate to lighthouse. This is an old lighthouse located in Cabo Rojo, it is west on the island. It is located high enough you can see the ocean clearly from there and there’s undisturbed beaches around. It is a small hike to it, but a lot of nature to see once you get there.
La Parguera Bioluminescent Bay
This is a small town in Laja, PR. It has one of the Bioluminescent Bays in the island (another one in Fajardo). This bay has a microorganism that when agitated produce light. Therefore they have nightly tours in kayaks and you see the water light up when the paddle hits the water. Very amusing!
Different for sure. In this hiking trip you will get dirty and hike in mud and bats flying above you. It is located in Arecibo. There are tours available were you are provided with gear and go with a group to see ‘La Ventana’ (translated means ‘The Window’). It is called like this because it’s a cave that when you look from the inside out looks like a window looking at a great valley and nature.

This is a bar with some hidden rooms; speakeasy. When you go in, you can chill at the bar and have a few drinks. But when you are ready to dance, go to the right of the bar where you will see a covered pathway (kind of *behind* the bar). Go in through there and checkout the other rooms (plural) for dancing.
The second oldest restaurant in the island. This is a bakery with all kind of goods available. But make sure to try out ‘Mallorca’ which is a sweet bread with powdered sugar on top. They serve it as-is or made into a sandwich with ham, cheese and eggs.
Very touristy restaurant. If you want to get a sense of what the tourists see when they get off a cruise ship, come here. The food is good, and they have typical drinks. Also is themed, so you get to see a little bit more of the PR culture in the walls and outfits of the staff.
Dessert place where they serve ice cream pops made of traditional PR sweets. You will see chocolate, vanilla, but also guayaba, coconut, pineapple, and some good mixes.
The following is off-the island. This will be good for an all-day activity.
Flamenco Beach (Culebra)
Beach in an island to the east of the main Puerto Rico island. You will need a boat ticket (normally $15-$25) to get over there; and it could be a one day trip leaving from Ceiba in the main island. Clear water and white sands, a great place to spend the entire day comfortably
